With the principle of “ Popularity and Entertainment”, this festival helps to involve more people in outdoor activity, a healthy living style. Except for some specialized rock climbing and hiking, more activities are offered, such as Finding Treasure, Tent Setting & Dismantling Competition, Single Party, Leisure Football, etc. Dancing Party, BBQ and campfire, outdoor film at night contribute pushing the atmosphere to a peak.
Mr. Cheng Zhanqun, CEO of Sun Outdoor Company, pointed out the importance of The Tent Festival. More than 150,000 citizens take part in outdoor sports in Beijing, while the increase of the amount is just slight, according to Mr. Cheng. Associated with the Media, the Tent Festival may be the most influential outdoor event up until now, popularizing the outdoor sports in ordinary people instead of just small quantity of participants.
The Tent Festival is planned to open on August 5th at Shunyi Shun Xing Natural Holiday Village for one month. To meet the different demand of different groups, the Organization Committee designs 4 themed activities focusing on common people, car lovers, white-collared ones, and media.
