Climbing Ropes

Single Ropes
These are the ropes to use for top roping, rappelling, sport climbing, big wall climbing, and some people will choose this type of rope for multi-pitch trad climbing, mountaineering, and ice climbing but much less than double or twin rope set ups.

Double Ropes
Double climbing ropes refer to dynamic cords that run from 9 mm down to 8 mm.

Twin Ropes
Twin climbing ropes run 8 mm down to 7.4 mm and as stated above some 8 mm ropes will be designated as twins and some as doubles depending on the manufacturer.

Then you should pay more attention to other features, such as fall rating and dry treatment (in sheath and core for wet conditions like ice climbing, alpine climbing, mountaineering)

Helmet

A rock-climbing helmet is a vital piece of your climbing equipment and can reduce the significant risk of head injury associated with lead falls and rock fall.

It is lighter, more breathable and always performs better protection against impact than ordinary helmet.

When you pick one, make sure it can accept a headlamp and easy adjusting.

All IUAA- and CE-certified helmets have been tested and approved in conformity with high standards. Helmets that have not been certified by these organizations can also be high-quality. Consult a staff member in-store.

You can also find more gear in our store, such as crampon, ice axe and other rescue gear.
